361 Site Managers are responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of HVAC projects.
They have to ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget, and that everyone else is doing their job properly. Project managers oversee the project to ensure that the customer's expectation is achieved to their satisfaction, using the most efficient labour, plant, equipment and material resources.
WOULD BE REQUIRED ON SITE FROM 17TH NOV. 18 Month FTC. Cambridge based.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Organisational and planning skills
* SSSTS or equivalent
* Site manager experience in HVAC installations
* Ability to analyse situations and make decisions when problem solving
* Numeracy skills
* Awareness of H&S and Contract law, Key financial data and Other Functions involved in the business
* Communication skills- (email, phone, face to face and reporting)
* Teamworking and leadership skills
* Ability to cope with and manage changes
* Ability to motivate people
* Own transportation to site in Cambridge
KEY DUTIES
1. Support sales team during the pre-contract phase: give advice, review costs prior to estimates
2. Take ownership of project once ordered
3. Plan and procure all labour, materials, plant and equipment, using IT systems
4. Manage costs, and efficient use of labour resources
5. Report on site set up, attend site meetings as required and report on the projects regularly in writing
6. Recruit specialists and sub-contractors as required
7. Monitor and manage Quality of Installations
8. Advisory role to site engineers
9. Produce & Manage Risk Assessment and Safe working methods (RAMS)
10. Compliance with quality standards and assist in production of O&M documentation
11. Use Programming Software to manage people and progress of the project
12. Report and review labour and purchase costs
13. Valuations of Work in Progress and invoicing
14. Costing additional works and recording extras
15. Undertake other tasks as required, within delegation rules and own competence
