LEAD INFORMATION Job Title - Arborist / Climber / Tree Surgeon Site location - Based out of the Mold depot, with Arborist / Climber / Tree Surgeon work covering customer sites across the Northwest region. Company Van provided or travel in company van with team to and from work sites daily. Responsible to - Supervisor on site Purpose of the Arborist / Climber / Tree Surgeon role - To safely and efficiently carry out advanced tree care operations, including climbing, pruning, and felling, while maintaining high safety and quality standards. To support site operations and client projects through expert arboriculture skills, risk management, and effective teamwork. Client brief our client is a well-established tree care and grounds maintenance provider, delivering professional arboriculture services across residential, commercial, and municipal sites around the Northwest. RESPONSIBILITIES The role Our client is a well-established tree care and grounds maintenance provider currently recruiting for permanent Arborist / Climber / Tree Surgeons to join their operation based out of Mold working around the Northwest. The duties of this role are varied and not limited to - Carry out tree inspections, pruning, felling, and removal in accordance with best arboriculture practices. Operate climbing and aerial equipment safely, including ropes, harnesses, and MEWPs. Maintain and operate chainsaws, wood chippers, and other tree care machinery safely. Follow site risk assessments, method statements, and health & safety procedures at all times. Assist with site preparation, tree planting, and landscaping tasks as required. Keep accurate records of work completed, including digital reporting where applicable. Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and clients to ensure efficient project delivery. Report hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly to the line manager. Support recycling and wood waste management initiatives where applicable. Key Skills Required Practical experience in tree surgery, felling, pruning, or site maintenance. Competent in the use of chainsaws, hand tools, and aerial equipment. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in arboriculture. Relevant arborist qualifications (e.g., NPTC CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39) and climbing tickets is desirable. Utility Arborist (UA) ticket or experience working near power lines is desirable. Physical fitness, agility, and the ability to work at height safely. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Flexible and adaptable to meet project requirements and weather conditions.
