The Real Estate Disputes team sits within the wider market-leading Real Estate Group and is led by seven partners across Leeds, Manchester and London. The London team comprises three partners, supported by experienced Managing Associates and Associates, creating an excellent environment for junior lawyers to learn, develop and thrive.
The team advises an impressive client base including institutional landlords, household-name retailers, major investors, developers and infrastructure companies. Known for its expertise in high-value and complex property litigation, the team has developed particular strengths in Building Safety Act matters, the living sector and development disputes, alongside a broad range of traditional real estate disputes work.
Working closely with experienced lawyers who are recognised for their technical excellence, commercial acumen and strategic approach to litigation, you will gain exposure to some of the most interesting and challenging matters in the market.
The Role
Joining the firm's highly regarded Real Estate Disputes team, you will advise on a broad range of contentious property matters, whilst developing your expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Your work will include landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals (both contested and uncontested), dilapidation claims, break notices, forfeiture and possession actions, rent review disputes and wider property management issues. You will also gain exposure to emerging and specialist areas including building safety, rights of light, joint ventures and development-related disputes.
Working alongside partners and senior associates on complex, high-profile litigation, you will play a significant role in advising key clients of both the Real Estate Group and the wider firm. Alongside this, you will have the opportunity to manage your own matters with appropriate supervision, allowing you to develop confidence and responsibility from an early stage in your career.

Requirements
* Be a Newly Qualified Solicitor or due to qualify by September 2026.
* Have completed at least one seat in Real Estate Litigation, Property Litigation or a comparable contentious property practice during your training contract.
* Demonstrate a genuine interest in Real Estate Disputes and a desire to build a long-term career within the practice area.
* Possess strong technical, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
* Be commercially minded, proactive and detail-oriented in your approach.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and client relationship skills.
