Overview
The successful candidate will support the admin teams within Upper GI. You will provide a comprehensive clerical and secretarial service to Consultants, transcribe clinical documentation using T‑Pro/G2, and may act as a Team Secretary for short periods when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Transcribe clinical documentation with the Trust’s digital dictation system T‑Pro/G2.
* Provide general secretarial support, including typing, filing, retrieval, scanning and storage of electronic patient records.
* Handle post and telephone enquiries.
* Cover other Band 2 clerical roles as required.
* Support efficient running of sub‑speciality offices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and use own initiative.
* Experience with OCR/RSA III typewriting, word‑processing and knowledge of IT packages.
* Fit and Proper Person Requirements and statutory pre‑employment checks (CQC, NHS England guidance). Applicants who meet essential criteria will be interviewed under the Trust’s interview guarantee scheme.
