Finance Project Manager (12 Month FTC)

I'm partnering with a global leader whose looking to appoint an experienced Finance Project Manager to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering strategic finance initiatives that directly impact the effectiveness and future-readiness of a major UK-based organisation. This is a highly collaborative role, perfect for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor progress across a diverse finance project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals
Work closely with project leads to identify risks, resolve blockers, and keep projects on track
Provide hands-on support to 'troubled' projects and bring them back on course
Produce bi-weekly progress reports and support stakeholder communications
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and keep templates up to date
Assist in developing and delivering effective internal communication strategies
Collaborate with the central PMO function and act as a key contact for finance project queries
Support IT resource planning related to finance initiatives
Step in to cover for the Finance PMO Manager when needed, ensuring continuity across all live projects
We're looking for someone with:
Strong project management experience in a professional services or corporate environment
PRINCE2 Practitioner certification (or equivalent)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Planner, and Loop
A methodical and proactive approach to managing workloads and competing priorities
Excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
A flexible and adaptable mindset, able to respond to evolving business needs
Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive information
