£90 – £105 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

A warm and inclusive primary school in Bedford is looking for a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 within their dedicated SEN unit. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s learning and personal development.
You’ll work closely with the SENCo and class teacher to deliver tailored support, using creativity and patience to help your pupil flourish.
Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs within the SEN unit
• Adapt learning materials to suit the pupil’s individual learning style
• Promote positive engagement and build trusting relationships
• Support emotional regulation and communication development
• Collaborate with staff and external professionals to ensure progress
Requirements:
• Experience working with children with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH)
• A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach
• Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
• Commitment to supporting every child’s success and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
