Job Description
We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter who will carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production. The role offers Monday to Friday dayshift, providing a great opportunity for those seeking to avoid shift work. Overtime exceeding 40 hours is paid at a premium rate.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Level 3 Engineering or similar
* Maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment
Responsibilities
1. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
2. Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime
3. Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root causes
4. Perform planned maintenance and contribute to schedules
5. Ensure compliance with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance
6. Record maintenance activities using maintenance software
7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and H&S
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business
Ideal Candidate
* Level 3 qualified apprenticeship in Engineering or similar
* Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production setting
* Strong mechanical skills including welding and fitting
* Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, motors
* Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
