Monarch Education is working with a secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a full-time SENDCo. This role involves leading and managing SEND provision across the school, ensuring that pupils with additional needs are identified and supported through effective planning and delivery linked to EHCPs. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage SEND provision across the school Oversee provision for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Monitor pupil progress and ensure appropriate support and interventions are in place Work with teaching staff to adapt teaching and support pupils with SEND in lessons Provide guidance to staff on SEND strategies and classroom support Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals Ensure the school meets statutory SEND requirements and deadlines Maintain accurate records relating to pupils with SEND Contribute to whole school inclusion and development planning Requirements Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Must hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be working towards it Experience working in a UK secondary school Strong understanding of EHCP processes and SEND legislation Experience supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD and SEMH Able to work with staff, families and external agencies Please note: Applicants must hold relevant SENDCo qualifications.
