Job Title: Warehouse Operative

About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team in Darlington. This on-site role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling goods, picking and packing customer orders and maintaining an organised and safe workspace.
Key Details:
* Hours: Monday to Friday, working hours between 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Pay: £12.50 per hour (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately and efficiently.
* Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
* Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if licensed).
* Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
* Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
* Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as required
Key Skills and Competencies:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and lift heavy items (up to 30kg) when required.
* Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is advantageous.
* Forklift licence (desirable but not required).
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems or stock tracking software is a plus.
