Join Us as a Trainee and Build a Career in Fire Safety
As a Trainee Fire Extinguisher Technician, you’ll embark on an exciting journey to develop hands-on skills in fire extinguisher maintenance, inspection, and testing—crucial knowledge that opens doors across the fire safety industry.
During your first six months, you’ll receive industry-leading training delivered by our expert team at Marlowe. This includes a blend of classroom-based learning and practical, on-the-job experience at some of our most prestigious client sites. You’ll be mentored by a dedicated and experienced Engineer, ensuring continuous support and professional development throughout your training.
You’ll also be enrolled in a specialist industry course, working toward becoming BS 5306 qualified, setting the foundation for a rewarding and long-term career in fire protection.
3. The primary objective of this role is to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become a fully qualified Fire Extinguisher Technician.
4. Work alongside experienced Fire Extinguisher Technicians, gaining hands-on experience and practical knowledge in the field.
5. Develop and maintain professional, effective relationships with a diverse client base, representing the company to the highest standards.
6. Communicate clearly and confidently with customers to ensure they fully understand the status and condition of their fire safety equipment.
7. Collaborate with Service Administrators to ensure customer requirements and service expectations are consistently met.
8. Take responsibility for the proper management, care, and security of vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
9. Demonstrate a positive attitude toward training and development, carrying out all assigned duties with professionalism and diligence.
10. Flexibility to travel and stay overnight may be required during peak periods and throughout the training programme.

Essential Professional Experience
11. Possession of a full UK driving licence.
12. Willingness and flexibility to travel as required for work and training purposes.
Desirable Professional Experience
13. Previous experience working with mechanical fire protection systems (, sprinklers, suppression systems).
14. Technical background within the mechanical fire safety industry.
15. Experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
