We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process-biased Project Engineer to join our Girvan distilling site. You'll develop and deliver Capital & Special Revenue projects to increase site capabilities and improve process efficiencies within the WG&S Operations Business Unit.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage the scoping, design, and delivery of capital projects at the Girvan site.
* Work with a multi-disciplinary project team during project delivery, utilizing your process background to complement the team's capabilities.
* Deliver capital projects addressing plant issues, equipment obsolescence, capacity/productivity increases, health & safety, and environmental initiatives.
* Identify and quantify development plans for input into our site Master Plans, along with relevant budgets and justifications.
* Provide detailed data to support project prioritization exercises and manage projects to be progressed: detailing project concept and approach, ensuring comprehensive and technically realistic requirements; developing design with multi-disciplinary teams; responsible for process design development from scoping, P&ID development, process control philosophy creation, equipment and valve/line list specifications; conducting financial analysis, providing justifications, and leading full CAPEX submissions with clear investment cases; identifying potential suppliers, developing sourcing approaches, tendering for cost efficiency, and optimizing value with contractual protections; delivering projects to stakeholder satisfaction, within scope, quality, cost, and timeline constraints.
* Coordinate installation activities with contractors and suppliers, create and execute commissioning documentation, roll out training and handover documentation, and maintain financial controls and reporting throughout.
