We are looking for an enthusiastic medical secretary to join our friendly team for 4 days per week (26 hours per week), including Monday and Friday. Flexibility on other days is preferable. Medical secretary experience and Emis Web experience are ESSENTIAL. Start date to be confirmed, likely beginning of August 2025. The closing date is 7th July 2025, or sooner if we receive sufficient applications. Interviews are scheduled for Thursday, 10th July 2025. If you have not heard from us 7 days after the closing date, you have not been successful. The successful candidate will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.

Job responsibilities
Reports to: Practice Manager/Assistant Manager
Responsible to: GP Partner
Provide secretarial support to the team, including:
* Audio Typing for referral letters, medical reports, business letters, and generic practice letters
* Handling queries related to Choose and Book, 2-week waits, paediatric referrals, patient queries regarding Choose and Book, scanning, photocopying patient notes, and taking calls from other services and patients
* Assist with invoicing, searches, CQRS reports, and monthly audits as time allows
* Ensure safeguarding training is undertaken and any concerns are reported via the correct channels
* Use relevant computer systems such as Choose and Book, Docman, Accurx, and CQRS, inputting referral codes and summarizing information
Confidentiality and Data Security: You may have access to sensitive patient and practice information. It is your responsibility to keep this information secure in line with the practice's Information Governance policy, GDPR, and confidentiality clauses. Any breach of confidentiality will be investigated and may result in disciplinary action.
