Shift: 8am to 5pm Mon to Thu / 8am to 1pm on Fri

About the Quality Inspector Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to support its precision engineering and fabrication operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all components meet strict quality standards, customer specifications, and engineering requirements across a range of industries including automotive, rail, and general engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect manufactured components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections across presswork, laser-cut, and fabricated parts
Use a range of measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools
Identify and report non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
Work closely with production teams (press brake, CNC, fabrication) to maintain quality standards
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
Ensure compliance with company quality systems and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
Assist in internal audits and contribute to maintaining high-quality processes
Promote and uphold health & safety standards within the workplaceAbout You
Previous experience in a Quality Inspector role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
Experience inspecting sheet metal, presswork, or fabricated components
Proficient in using measuring and inspection equipment
Knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures
Good communication skills and ability to work with production teams
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvementDesirable Skills
Experience within a high-volume production environment
Knowledge of CNC processes (press brake, laser cutting, machining)
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems
Previous experience working in automotive or similar industriesApply
