Job Title: TIG Welder
Location: Halstead
Pay: £14-£15ph + Holiday Pension & Adecco Benefits
Hours: 40hrs per week - Monday-Friday - Temporary to Permanent
About the Role
Join Our client as a TIG Welder/Fabricator. The successful candidate will be a TIG Welder/Fabricator who will play a key role in the manufacture and fitting of high-performance components, primarily using aluminium and stainless steel. You will work from engineering drawings to ensure all builds meet rigorous quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform butt and fillet welding on marine-grade aluminium and stainless steel using TIG processes.
* Fabricate and assemble components to precise specifications from engineering drawings.
* Maintain high standards of quality through self-checking of finished work.
* Utilise jigs and fixtures to support repeatable and efficient manufacturing processes.
* Contribute to the development of welding and fabrication processes for new products.
* Support continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and quality.
* Collaborate with the wider team and work independently when required.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
* Proven experience in TIG welding of aluminium and stainless steel (essential).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Solid employment history in a welding or fabrication environment.
* Commitment to health and safety best practices.
* Willingness to obtain required welding coding and qualifications.
* Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and within a team.
* Flexibility with working hours and a proactive approach to process improvements.
* Experience with MIG welding in aluminium and stainless steel (desirable).
