This role reports to the design manager. The trainee draughtsperson, design engineer involves The modification and design of equipment using Solidworks Design of new products & components, jigs fixtures and related materials Attend meetings and occasionally visit customers' sites to carry out related design duties Working in a small team environment with the ability to use your initiative to complete tasks on your own once you have been trained. Update records on the ParaCAD system DAR - maintain and control the change record system The trainee draughtsperson, design engineer skills and background Knowledge of CNC machining or similar engineering equipment to enable translation into suitable designs Experience of Solidworks or knowledge of comparable design tools to get up to speed quickly Any engineering or mechanical engineering apprenticeship or qualification combined with some design knowledge would be a great fit for this role.
