Orchard House Surgery in Newmarket are looking for a data administrator to join our team on a part-time basis for three days per week, working Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The main responsibilities of the role include: Undertaking a variety of administrative duties including clerical support to the practice team. Data entry and read coding of relevant patient information and medical data into the clinical system. Scanning information onto computerised records. Processing practice post and emails as required. Updating systems with data. About the Candidate We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable and friendly individuals. Applicants should have the following skills and experience: An experienced administrator, with excellent IT, time management and organisational skills. Proficient in Word and Excel. SystmOne experience desirable but not essential as training can be given. Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner. Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently. Primary care experience is desirable but not essential. Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues. All applicants should ensure that they live within reasonable commuting distance. About Us We are a 6-partner PMS practice with approx. 11,400 patients and employ 3 further salaried doctors. The practice is one of three based in Newmarket that provides a high level of care to our patients in Newmarket and surrounding villages. The post benefits from 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays. Disclosure and Barring Service Check Please note this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
