We are looking for a Goods-In Operative on behalf of a well-established business within the chemical industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive operations team where attention to detail, organisation, and quality really matter.

The Role
As Goods-In Operative, you will play an important part in ensuring goods and materials are received, checked, recorded, and handled correctly in line with client requirements and industry standards.
Duties will include:
11. Receiving and inspecting incoming goods against purchase orders and specifications
12. Checking labels, quantities, and quality standards
13. Reporting discrepancies, damages, or missing items
14. Recording goods accurately on internal systems
15. Supporting the safe handling and storage of materials, including hazardous goods
16. Liaising with suppliers or clients to resolve delivery issues
17. Assisting with preparing materials for shipment
18. Supporting the wider operations team with day-to-day warehouse activities
What We're Looking For
19. Good levels of Maths and English
20. Strong attention to detail
21. Organised and able to prioritise workloads effectively
22. Comfortable using computer systems
23. Experience working in a fast-paced or pressurised environment
24. Manual handling experience
25. A proactive and reliable approach to work
Previous experience within a goods-in, warehouse, manufacturing, or chemical industry environment would be beneficial, although not essential.
