Job Title: Senior Service Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000, OTE £60,000+

Overview
A well‑established engineering business specialising in industrial recycling and waste processing equipment is seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer. The role supports customers across the UK with specialist baling machinery, offering technical autonomy, strong earning potential and long‑term career development.
Responsibilities
* Attend customer sites to carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on baling equipment and associated machinery.
* Respond to reactive breakdown repairs and perform major repairs and system upgrades.
* Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.
* Support installation projects and provide technical expertise to junior engineers.
Requirements
* Proven experience working on industrial baling equipment.
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.
Desirable
* Experience as a Field Service Engineer or Senior Service Engineer.
* Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults.
* Experience in recycling, waste processing or heavy industrial machinery.
* Support for installations, servicing and breakdown response.
* Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Electrical).
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
* Knowledge of hydraulic systems used in baling machinery.
