Team Leader Production 2nd Shift

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 15:00-23:00

Location: Rittal-CSM Ltd, Plymouth, Devon

Salary: £19.48 per hour (plus 25% shift premium)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Team Leader to join our Production team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in supporting our high-performing manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support the team to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
* Ensure materials, components, and information are available and correctly processed throughout the shift.
* Maintain strong shop floor presence, promoting safety, quality, and adherence to company standards.
* Coordinate shift handovers and communicate effectively with other Team Leaders and departments.
* Monitor performance, resolve issues, and **escalate** when needed to achieve daily targets.
* Oversee equipment checks, housekeeping standards, and support continuous improvement activities.
* Update records, audits, and systems (including SAP) accurately and on time.


Qualifications & Experience


Essential Qualifications

* Supervisory Management Level 2 (or similar).
* Experience of people management.
* Experience in problem solving and supporting continuous improvement activities.
* Health & Safety training for Managers and Supervisors.
* Training in key leadership and people-management topics.
* Recognising the Value of Your Team.


Desirable Qualifications

* Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 3 or equivalent.
* Mechanical Engineering knowledge.
* Lean Manufacturing / Quality Systems training.
* Experience using SAP or similar systems.
