Role responsibilities
Development operations (DevOps) engineers support the development and operation of our cloud environment through tools, environments and practices.
Responsible for underpinning good development processes including managing tools and testing environments, central code control, maintaining development standards and writing code that automates our cloud environment.
* Design, build, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure using server and serverless technologies across a mix of IaaS and PaaS in line with TfW\\\'s Cloud Principles.
* Design, build, and maintain build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps in line with TfW\\\'s CICD principles to ensure that deployment strategies for resources are repeatable, scalable and highly available.
* Transform technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain to enable project delivery.
Who we\\\'re looking for
* Microsoft Azure experience, ideally their Platform as a Service offerings (App Services, Azure SQL, CosmosDB, API Management, Front Door etc.)
* Build and Release Management using Azure DevOps or a similar product.
* Extensive experience monitoring large cloud environments using technologies such as Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud, or similar tooling provided by cloud platform vendors.
* Extensive ability to communicate technical subject matter to a non-technical audience.
* Delivering Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
* Taking an automation first approach to CI/CD.
* Having a passion for learning best practices for Cloud Engineering.
* Applying agreed standards and tools as required, to achieve a well-engineered result.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
