Counselling Assessment Support Worker Hours: 17.5 per week Salary: £23,500 per annum, pro-rated (rising to £24,000 per annum after successfully completing a 6-month probationary period) Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2026 Locaion: Based at our Pontypool Hwb, covering referalls from areas throughout Gwent All staff must work flexibly on occasions to meet the needs of the organisation and relevant to the job role. \workplace based role Purpose of the Post: To provide a proactive service to individuals who are or have been victims of sexual violence and abuse, ensuring a clear pathway to users of the services, systematic recording of all actions and outcomes and administrative back up Responsibilities To be the point of contact for agencies and individuals seeking to refer people. Receiving completed referral forms or completing telephone referrals for counselling and specialist therapies and contributing to the smooth running of the referral process. Contacting individuals to arrange an assessment. Undertaking assessments with all individuals referred to the counselling service to assess that the service is suitable for the person’s needs. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Cyfannol's wider support services to ensure people are directed to the service(s) that best meet their needs Contacting and updating individuals and referrers where appropriate with an outcome, including a timescale. Ensuring regular contact with individuals from the point of referral and during waiting times. Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the designated safeguarding lead. Signposting individuals to additional or alternative services where appropriate. General Administration Monitoring the referrals email inbox, responding to emails and queries. Forwarding emails to the most appropriate person. Maintaining administration processes and systems, ensuring referrals and all information are recorded and entered onto the Oasis electronic database. Maintaining confidentiality and always adhering to GDPR guidelines Assisting with disclosure requests Any other duties reasonably required Data Management Support Maintaining spreadsheets and electronic data collection systems accurately Assisting with populating spreadsheets and databases, running reports and adding data into funding reports as required Assisting with monitoring and evaluation of outcome measures and general project administration.
