The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced IT professional to join our dynamic IT team in a role that blends operational support with improvement initiatives delivered through projects. This is a great opportunity to help shape and support a modern IT environment while making a visible impact across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of IT, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and evolving our infrastructure across core networking, servers, cloud services, identity, endpoint management, and cyber security. You’ll work with technologies including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, Intune, Windows Server, VMware virtualisation, and enterprise networking, balancing day-to-day support with project delivery and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrives on solving problems, and wants to contribute to the development of a modern IT service. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the business, influence positive change, and have the opportunity to broaden your skills across infrastructure, cloud, security, and end-user technology.

What You’ll Be Doing:

2. Administering Microsoft 365 services, including Microsoft Entra, Exchange, identity and access management, and core collaboration platforms
3. Managing endpoint configuration and compliance using Microsoft Intune and modern device management approaches
4. Acting as a key technical point of contact for IT support, helping users resolve issues quickly and effectively
5. Monitoring systems proactively, improving resilience, and helping prevent issues before they arise
6. Contributing to the design, implementation, and support of network solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, and secure remote access
7. Supporting and delivering IT projects, upgrades, migrations, and service improvements alongside day-to-day operations
8. Applying security best practices across identity, devices, patching, access control, and endpoint protection
9. Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, automation, and user experience
10. Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation, support procedures, and user guides
11. Providing user training and guidance to improve adoption of business systems and digital tools
12. Taking part in an on-call rota to support critical incidents (approx. 1 week in 5)

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

13. 3–5 years’ experience in an infrastructure, systems administration technical support role
14. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, networking, endpoint management, and security-focused administration
15. Experience supporting or administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, and Intune in a business environment
16. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine interest in continuous improvement and modernisation
17. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues
18. A strong customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering a high-quality, reliable IT service
19. Ability to manage priorities effectively and work calmly in a fast-paced environment

Technical Experience:

You’ll have solid experience in several of the following:

20. Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online and core collaboration services
21. Microsoft Entra, including identity, access management, and conditional access concepts
22. Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management for Windows devices

26. Firewall technologies and secure remote access solutions (preferably FortiGate)
27. Backup, patching, monitoring, and endpoint security tools
28. Printers, peripheral support, and general workplace technology administration
