Role: Volunteer Shop Assistant
Location: Heathfield, East Sussex
We at the Kit Wilson Trust are seeking volunteers to help run our busy shops and raise vital funds to keep our rescue centre operating to care for and re-home unwanted animals.

As a shop volunteer, no two days are the same and there are is a huge varitey of opportunities for you to take part in what we do; From being at the frontlines looking after our customers at the till to working behind the scenes to sort and prepare the pre-loved donations we receive on a daily basis
This is a role that anyone and everyone can take something positive away from, no matter your background, age or experience We are fully flexible around your commitments and are grateful for every minute our volunteers can give us, even an hour or two squeezed in around your busy week goes a long way

* Working on our tills & customer service
* Sorting and organising stock in our backrooms
* Creating eye catching displays on our shop floor
* Preparing & steaming our items before they are put out for sale

About us
The Kit Wilson Trust for Animal Welfare is a small business in Sussex, TN22 5DQ. We are social, creative, fast-paced, and our goal is to At the KWT we rescue and re-home unwanted animals and have a wildlife rehabilitation program and an emergency helpline. From a modest beginning the Trust has grown and in 1986 set up its own Animal Rescue Centre in Hadlow Down, near Uckfield, in East Sussex. In addition to the animal rescue and re-homing work, the Trust has become increasingly involved in wildlife rehabilitation and operates a wildlife emergency helpline. Over the years, the Rescue Centre has also become a permanent home to many animals that it is not possible or desirable to re-home; these include horses, donkeys, cats, goats, birds and small mammals who are all cared for and housed for the remainder of their lives.
