Role Overview
Are you enthusiastic, motivated and committed with excellent interpersonal, organisational skills and have experience in research?
We are looking for a nurse with research and acute care experience to join our team of research nurses/practitioners at Ipswich Hospital. The role includes supporting studies across a wide range of specialities across the Trust. The post will further develop specialist research skills under the guidance of the team leader and senior team members. We are keen to invest in and develop our staff and a variety of training opportunities will be provided.
Our Region is supported by the Clinical Research Network: Eastern which is part of the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network which supports research to make patients, and the NHS, better. The Research and Development department at ESNEFT is an established clinical research unit hosting a variety of studies from NIHR portfolio, locally developed and commercially sponsored clinical trials. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* A vital part of this role will be to ensure that you provide excellent research care to patients who have consented to participate in research.
* The role will involve leading and supporting studies within the team as well as supporting junior team members.
* You must be able to prioritise and manage your time and workload effectively and must be methodical and well organised in undertaking research activities including following study protocols, clinical assessments, case report form completion, daily management and coordination of study participants.
* You will work across a range of studies including observational research, novel drug therapy and clinical interventions.
