Job Description for Operations Executive

Line manager: Operations Manager
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 Per Annum

That means driving operational efficiency, reducing time and cost through automation, and giving senior leadership the support, they need to focus on the big picture. Key Responsibilities:

Internal Communications & Events

Help create and circulate internal newsletters, team updates, or key policy changes
Support SLT with initiatives related to engagement and team building
Help organise company events, team socials, or award days out

Automation & Process Improvement

Own the documentation and standardisation of internal processes to reduce singular knowledge and free senior leadership time
Drive the automation of manual tasks, freeing up valuable resources and reducing operational costs
Responsible for IT troubleshooting queries managed via ticketing system
Data Integrity & Reporting

Manage the integrity and accuracy of data across departments to support decision making and strategic initiatives
Create and maintain regular business reports for leadership, ensuring data is consistent, accurate, and actionable
Collaborate with senior leadership to provide data driven insights to inform key business decisions

Internal Onboarding & Induction

Deliver onboarding plans for all new starters
Set up new users on internal systems (CRM, Emails, Comms tools)
Schedule and support first week inductions and shadowing with relevant teams
Coordinate desk setup and welcome materials

Learning & Development Coordination

Maintain internal process documentation and SOPs
Schedule internal training
Source external training providers as needed
Monitor training completion and feedback
Inbox & Calendar Management

Take ownership of shared inboxes and key administrative workflows to minimise interruptions for SLT
Manage CEO calendars, scheduling meetings to ensure focus on high priority tasks
Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth scheduling and communication

Support to Senior Leadership and Marketing Team

Provide general administrative support to senior management, helping with both day to day operational needs and larger strategic projects
Help to execute on high priority business initiatives by coordinating resources, tracking project progress, and delivering operational insights
