We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to assist a 90-year-old independent dementia patient in her home. This role involves providing light assistance with daily tasks, primarily focused on preparing lunch, making cups of tea, and offering gentle reminders to help her maintain her independence.
Provide gentle reminders, such as helping her remember her walking stick.
Offer companionship and emotional support.
Maintain a safe and clean environment in the kitchen and common areas.
Follow specific care instructions provided by the family.
Ability to offer gentle support while respecting the client's independence.
Previous experience with dementia care is preferred but not essential.
Enhanced DBS check required.
Female applicants only (as per the client's request).
Flexibility to work 3 to 4 days a week within the hours of 10:00 and 17:00.
Competitive hourly rate of £12.
