About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker in Southampton, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, delivering tailored care packages to our children and young adults. Your role will involve:
* Working flexible shifts, including sleep-ins, on a rotating schedule.
* Building positive, trusting relationships with our young people.
* Promoting their welfare and safeguarding their well-being.
* Encouraging the development of individual interests and skills.
* Collaborating effectively with your team and accepting guidance.
What We’re Looking For
We seek individuals who are not only qualified but also passionate about supporting young people. Here’s what you need:
* Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
* Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins.
* A willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with the goal of upgrading to Level 4.
* A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A commitment to learning and teamwork.
* A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (which we will cover).
* Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
