Be among the first 25 applicants. This is an interesting and exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner with NHS experience to join the Human Resources Business Partnering team at University Hospitals Sussex, an acute hospital trust employing circa 20,000 employees.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional senior HR advice, leadership and support to Trust divisional leaders and managers.
* Resolve complex workforce issues, enhance staff engagement and support achievement of divisional workforce plans.
* Maintain good working knowledge of current employment legislation; support staffing restructures and provide HR input for workforce initiatives.
* Analyse workforce data and engage with leaders to develop workforce and staff engagement plans.
* Support corporate HR projects, gain improvement methodology knowledge, and develop and deliver training sessions.
* May be based at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton; Worthing Hospital or St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, with travel across sites as required. Part-week home working may be considered depending on service needs.

Job Description
Job Responsibilities
* Provide professional and customer-focused HR leadership, advice and support to divisional leads and managers to improve staff engagement, address workforce issues, enhance patient care and efficiencies, and achieve divisional and people objectives.
* Influence and support the strategic direction of the Division by providing expert HR advice and workforce information to facilitate achievement of Workforce KPIs, including recruitment/retention plans, sickness absence management, and controlling bank/agency expenditure. Provide HRBP analyses and monthly reports as required.
* Lead on providing professional senior HR support and coaching to improve staff engagement and HR metrics.
* Lead on HR projects to deliver workforce initiatives; maintain up-to-date knowledge of NHS employment developments and legislation; promote best practices.
* Design and deliver HR training to improve manager capability and support rollout of HR initiatives.
* Contribute to HR policy development and implementation; review and maintain standard operating procedures and guidance as required.
Qualifications
* Essential: Educated to Masters level or equivalent in an HR-related subject.
* Essential: Significant HR Business Partnering experience addressing workforce issues in the NHS.
* Essential: Experience supporting divisional restructures and analyzing staffing data to design improvement plans.
* Desirable: CIPD qualification (Associate level or above); experience with service improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen); understanding of current NHS issues.
