Position: Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about supporting the development and learning of young children? Do you thrive in a nurturing and dynamic classroom environment? We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Bolton.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to Key Stage 1 students.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to help children meet learning targets.
* Assist with classroom management and help create a positive learning environment.
* Contribute to the planning and delivery of creative activities that enhance learning.
* Work with students with varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Support the social and emotional development of children, fostering confidence and self-esteem.
* Assist with setting up and tidying classroom materials and resources.
* Supervise children during playtimes, lunchtimes, and on educational outings.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A genuine passion for working with young children in Key Stage 1.
* Previous experience in a classroom setting, preferably within Key Stage 1.
* A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
* Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
* SEN experience or willingness to support children with additional needs.
* A relevant teaching assistant qualification (Level 2 or above is desirable).
* Paediatric First Aid certification is an advantage.
