HomeServe are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join the Technology & Change Team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have experience delivering both business change & IT projects end to end.
Our team work in a hybrid way, mostly remote with a minimum of two days a week in the Walsall office. Occasionally, there may be times where you will need to work from our Nottingham or Preston offices.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountable for delivering a range of projects across our diverse portfolio, you will be experienced in all stages of the project management lifecycle. You will be comfortable working at pace whilst maintaining quality and have an eye for detail, with well-honed stakeholder management skills both verbally and in writing.
Specifically you will:
* Mobilise projects from initiation, establishing the project team and governance in accordance with our framework.
* Ensure all mandatory project artefacts are produced to a high standard.
* Produce, maintain, and manage a detailed project plan, identifying the critical path and dependencies.
* Demonstrate effective management of Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies.
* Shape and actively manage the project budget and resource forecasts.
* Engage with key stakeholders regularly via in-person meetings and project reporting.
Monitor and Control
* Ensure controls for time, cost, and quality are in place.
* Produce detailed baseline plans; sign off and report against the critical path.
* Monitor, track, and report to IT and business stakeholders.
* Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; liaise with stakeholders for mitigation.
* Ensure compliance with governance structures, including stage gates.
* Support quality checks and assurance activities across the portfolio.
Relationship Management
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with project sponsors and business teams.
* Build relationships with delivery teams and stakeholders supporting project delivery.
* Coordinate with third parties for technical tasks.
* Develop and coordinate business cases for projects.
* Monitor budgets to ensure adherence to financial governance.
About You
To succeed, you should have the following knowledge, skills, and attributes:
Qualifications
* PRINCE2 / AgilePM / APM PMQ or similar project management certification.
* APMG Change Management or similar (desirable).
* Experience delivering multiple projects concurrently.
* Experience managing project budgets from £100k to £1M.
* Experience producing and managing resource forecasts.
* Experience managing technical projects end-to-end.
* Experience in business change projects end-to-end.
* Ability to develop and establish business cases.
* Experience mobilising projects and establishing governance frameworks.
* Proficiency with various project management methodologies.
* Ability to translate technical jargon for a business audience.
Additional compensation details include a competitive salary, £5500 cash/car allowance, and 10% yearly bonus.
