An exciting position is available for a Travel & Transport Advisor within our Estates directorate. This role requires an individual knowledgeable about local travel options to support staff and visitors in planning their journeys to and from our sites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting sustainable transport modes and work closely with the Travel & Transport Manager to deliver Travel and Green Plan objectives, supporting staff transitions during our hospital's transformational programme.
The main responsibilities include providing high-quality customer service face-to-face, over the phone, and via email; supporting staff, contractors, patients, and visitors with travel advice; promoting sustainable transport schemes; maintaining promotional materials; data collection and analysis; managing bookings and stock; liaising with external providers; and supporting policy and service development. The role also involves administrative duties, event coordination, and contributing to sustainability initiatives.
Effective communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze data and produce reports. The role requires managing workload independently, supporting team members, and working flexibly across Trust locations. Responsibilities also include advising patients on transport options, managing resources, supporting training, and ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
This position may involve front-of-house duties, requiring general site knowledge for patient inquiries. The Trust promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce and encourages applications from minority groups. Staff are expected to work flexibly across all Trust sites, and the role may involve site relocations or service transfers, with travel considerations accordingly.
