Job title: Production Manager – Powertrain
Salary: Up to £68,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Responsible for the delivery and execution of the T26 Propulsion Powertrain Integration Programme on T26, from alignment and installation through to systems hand-over and commissioning.
* Promote and maintain a positive safety culture prioritizing safety and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with HSE environmental legislation.
* Provide effective leadership and collaborate with multi-organizational teams, including OEMs and major subcontractors, to complete scope safely, on time, and to quality standards.
* Ensure a compliant and certifiable Propulsion Powertrain Alignment in line with contractual standards and inspection criteria, adhering to business and project governance.
* Manage team performance and progress using detailed work plans and business systems, setting targets to maintain schedule adherence and milestone achievement.
* Coordinate planning of scope, resolve dependencies, and manage material and resource allocation for upcoming tasks, ensuring operators are SQEP or experience is balanced.
Your skills and experiences:
* Safety-focused with experience managing teams in high-risk environments.
* Proven experience delivering complex mechanical engineering packages in manufacturing.
* Strong leadership, delegation, and team-building skills for multi-disciplinary teams.
* Experience with Earned Value Management, planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
* Honours Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
* In-depth knowledge of Propulsion Powertrain components and systems for naval vessels.
