Job summary
The Pain Rehabilitation Team Admin Assistant will provide administrative support to the Pain Rehabilitation Clinical Team ensuring an effective and efficient service is delivered.
There is a need to work flexibly between sites.
They will provide a tying service, demonstrate good organisational skills, must be flexible in approach, able to exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity.
Main duties of the job
Work closely with all grades of clinical and administrative staff
Empathy and tact when dealing with patients that may be angry or upset regarding any aspect of their care.
To communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Ensure requests for further information are actioned promptly
Deal with patient/carer telephone calls and enquiries
Record clinic outcomes accurately
Arrange meetings/appointments for patients and relatives
Open and act on correspondence received
Undertake a variety of office duties to ensure the efficient and effective support to the department.
Assist with updating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all aspects of the administrative pathway that supports the Pain Rehabilitation Team.
