A highly respected and inclusive academy in Leicester is seeking a passionate Religious Education Teacher to join its Humanities team from January 2026. What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
* Holds QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Has strong subject knowledge in Religious Education, Philosophy and Ethics
* Can deliver engaging lessons that encourage reflection, discussion and understanding of diverse beliefs and values
* Uses assessment and feedback effectively to promote progress and confidence in all learners
* Works collaboratively and demonstrates flexibility, empathy and a commitment to inclusive education
Experience teaching in specialist or inclusive settings, or adapting materials to meet varied learning needs, would be an advantage.

The Role in More Detail
You will plan and teach Religious Education lessons across the age range, helping students to explore moral questions, beliefs and cultures with curiosity and respect. Lessons will be adapted to suit diverse learning needs, ensuring that every student is challenged, supported and inspired.
You will contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities, such as themed projects, cultural celebrations and community partnerships. Collaboration with colleagues in Humanities and across the wider school will provide opportunities to develop cross-curricular initiatives and creative approaches to learning.
