This role is a key part of the financefunction,ensuringrobustaccountingpracticesandprovidinghigh-qualityfinancial data to support the Financial Controller in consolidation and reporting.The position requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage end-to-end accounts preparation in a multi-entity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts PreparationPreparemonthlymanagementaccountsforassignedGroup entitiesComplete full balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial dataProduce year-end statutory accounts in line with IFRSSupporttheFinancialControllerwithconsolidationinputsandintercompany reconciliationsMaintain accurate ledgers, including general ledger, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaymentsFinancial ReportingDeliver timely and accurate reporting packs to Group FinanceProvide detailed variance analysis against budget and prior periodsAssist in preparing financial reports for senior managementAudit & ComplianceAct as key contact for external auditors at entity levelPrepare audit files and supporting documentationEnsure compliance with Companies Act requirements and internal policiesAssist with VAT returns, PAYE/NI submissions, and other statutory filingsMonth-End & Year-End CloseOwn and deliver the month-end close process for assigned entitiesPost journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, adjustments)Ensure deadlines are met in line with Group reporting timetableCashflow & Working CapitalMonitor cash positions and assist with short-term cashflow forecastingManage accounts payable and receivable processes (oversight where delegated)Support credit control and supplier payment activitiesSystems & ControlsEnsure adherence to internal controls and financial proceduresIdentify opportunities for process improvements and efficienciesAssist with implementation of finance systems or upgradesBusiness SupportProvide financial support to operational teams and department managersAssist with budgeting and forecasting processesSupport ad hoc financial analysis and projects as requiredKey Skills & Experience EssentialFully qualified or qualified by experience (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)Experience in accounts preparation within a commercial or practice environmentExperience of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliationsGood understanding of VAT and Tax compliance across UK & ROIStrong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systemsDesirableExperience working within a multi-entity or Group structureBackground in practice transitioning to industryExposure to audit processesPersonal AttributesHighly organised with excellent attention to detailMethodical and accurate in financial record keepingStrong time management with ability to meet strict deadlinesProactive and capable of working independentlyGood communication skills with the ability to interact across departmentsRemuneration & BenefitsCompetitive salary (commensurate with experience)Pension contributionPrivate healthcareWHJS1_NI
