Overview

This role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Intensive Personalised Support (IPS) service, with a primary focus on building and strengthening referral pipelines from external stakeholders. The role coordinates a cohesive team to ensure effective intervention delivery and works with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. A major emphasis is placed on developing and nurturing relationships with external partners to increase referrals and ensure the service reaches those who need it most.

Main duties and responsibilities

* Coordinate incoming referrals to the IPS service, ensuring high-quality behavioural support for children, young people, and families.
* Build relationships with external stakeholders, promote the service, and represent it at professional events.
* Review assessments and evaluations; collaborate with clients and professionals to implement effective interventions.
* Act as Head of Service when needed, supervise and coach staff, contribute to recruitment and training, and manage daily operations including case allocations and scheduling.
* Ensure service efficiency, maintain accurate records, and implement ABL policies.
* Provide proactive risk management, on-call support, and participate in service growth and promotion.
* Support duties may extend to other reasonable responsibilities as needed.

* Desirable: Experience of working with children/young people and families in a community setting; safeguarding experience in a therapeutic context.


Qualifications

* Essential: Minimum of 2 years in a managerial/supervisory role
* Desirable: Registered Social Worker; Level 5 or above management qualification
