ABP Linden have an exciting opportunity based in our Retail site for a Hygiene Operative
ROLE:
You will be responsible for ensuring hygiene and cleaning standards are met, health and safety rules are adhered to and ensuring machinery and equipment is thoroughly cleaned for the next morning's production.
Fundamentals of the Job:
* To ensure that a high standard of cleaning is achieved on a daily basis
* To ensure periodic cleaning schedule is completed
* To sign off cleaning duties
* To support manager and supervisors during internal and external audits
* To control chemical and consumables usage, to ensure effective use
* To supervise the water usage during operations
* To ensure Health and Safety is adhered to at all times
* To ensure quality standards are maintained through a system of monitoring and auditing
* To liaise with operations to prioritise daily work plan and ensure equipment is available for start up
* To carry out ad hoc projects as required
* Liaise with various departmental personnel and customers as required
* To adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation and company rules and regulations
* To work in a manner as to prevent or minimise the risk of accident to yourself or others
* To comply with manager's instructions in a timely manner
* Drying of equipment, floors ceiling etc. after washing up
REQUIREMENTS
* Experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry
* Food hygiene certificate is desirable
* Good understanding of English
* Previous experience using industrial chemicals
* Thorough and conscientious work aptitude
* Willingness to learn, ability to work as part of a team under minimum supervision
* Availability to work flexible working hours including evenings and weekends
