Join to apply for the Teacher of Music role at Millfield. Immediate start (Jan 2026 for the right candidate) for a part-time teacher to join a thriving department of 9 full-time staff and 30 visiting music teachers. The role is available for an immediate start, or from January 2026 for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be a passionate classroom teacher and skilled musician, with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to work across a wide range of musical styles.
The teacher will educate across A Level, BTEC and GCSE courses, with the ability to teach Music Production considered an advantage. This role offers the chance to inspire and nurture students of all abilities, from beginners through to those preparing for Oxbridge and Conservatoire entry. The successful candidate will teach curriculum music to pupils aged 13–18 and play a key role in the school’s vibrant ensemble and concert programme. We welcome applications from experienced teachers, ECTs, or outstanding musicians looking to move into teaching. For the right candidate, we can offer support towards gaining QTS during their first year. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and ambitious department, with excellent scope for career development and future progression into leadership roles.
