The role involves reporting to the Category Manager or Business Partner and supporting the development and execution of category strategies within agreed supply categories.
Responsibilities include:
1. Gathering data on spend, volume, and service needs in preparation for eRFx/eAuctions.
2. Maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders and Procurement Business Partners to promote category strategy, understand business needs, and drive compliance.
3. Maintaining KPIs and metrics to measure annual savings and supplier performance within the category.
4. Working as part of a team and occasionally leading relevant subject matter experts.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
* Managing the project pipeline and reporting/forecasting within the Provalido savings tracker.
* Monitoring the contract renewal pipeline and supporting the Category Manager in creating, extending, or ceasing Master Framework Agreements.
* Evaluating, selecting, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers.
* Supporting Accounts Payable with payable issues escalated to the central procurement team, facilitating remedial discussions between AP and Business Unit Operations.
* Achieving the best value for money on category spend, meeting benefits and savings targets, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
* Applying a full category management approach, delivering quantifiable value, and interfacing with internal stakeholders to influence business needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience/qualifications.
* Relevant experience working with supply categories and commercial procurement.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in a fast-paced, complex environment with diverse stakeholders.
* Negotiating skills.
* MCIPS qualification (desirable).
* Experience in Facilities Management or Construction industry.
