Supporting pupils aged 4–19 in a specialist setting, you will work alongside teachers, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and behaviour specialists. This exposure offers invaluable preparation for SALT postgraduate routes, giving you confidence in communication strategies, AAC, and early language development.

5. Highly relevant experience for applications to MSc Speech & Language Therapy programs.
What you will be doing:
6. Supporting autistic and PMLD learners in lessons, therapy activities, and structured communication sessions.
7. Using AAC tools, visual timetables, and sensory communication strategies.
8. Encouraging engagement, joint attention, turn-taking, and interaction skills.
9. Helping implement personalised communication plans designed by therapists.
10. Creating a supportive, encouraging, language-rich environment.
