Location: Alcester
We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Property department at Helping Hands. The role is based at our Alcester Office/Home working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.
The role of a Property Solicitor will be to provide support to the Head of Property in managing and growing our property portfolio. In this role you will deal with all lease renewals, acquisitions and support with landlord disputes. The ideal candidate will be qualified and self sufficient to handle matters whilst working individually as well as part of a small team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Advising and liaising with internal stakeholders on commercial property matters.
* Dealing with acquisitions and disposals.
* Review all documentation on property matters, advising where applicable.
* Arrange for all property matters acquisitions documentation to be produced including the lease and summary documents.
* Support in the negotiation of all property matters.
* Support the commerciality of Helping Hands property by taking a lead role in rental reviews.
* Support the property team in maintaining lease, lease event databases.
* Provide advice on all disputes with Landlords and how to best overcome.
* Manage servicing activity to specialist equipment within branches.
* Assist with disputes as they arise.
* Monitor and record a risk register.
* Manage alongside current legislation.
Who You Are
The Property Solicitor will be pro-active and highly organised individual with a proven track record in property, preferably within a commercial environment. The ideal candidate will have great organisation and communication skills and the ability to work in a team. Although from time to time you may be working solely on matters.
