We are partnered with our key client to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a critical and wide-ranging role covering monthly management accounts, project accounting and cashflow and business forecasting. There is also exciting business, system and process change planned through 2025 that the MA will be expected to support along with the day-to-day tasks.

Description
The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:
Day to day oversight & coaching of senior finance assistant and in country finance teams to ensure that transactions are recorded timeously and accurately through all ledgers and month end and year end schedules and working papers are prepared to a high standard
Monthly review and challenge of projects with business units including valuation of work in progress based on percentage completion
Production of on time, accurate and meaningful management accounts to group deadlines
Co-ordinate credit control efforts by local staff, ensuring that proper escalation steps are followed
Bi-weekly cashflow forecasts
Support currency and working capital management with wider group
Work with FD and business leads to produce quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
Leading the delivery of the group and local financial statement audits for global entities annually
Liase with local advisors to oversee compliance with and changes to local tax matters (VAT, Corporation Tax, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing)
Liase closely with business along with FD to understand and advise on implications of business plans on cash, tax and profitability
Support ad hoc projects including system changes, process improvements, M&A or investment appraisalProfile
The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:
Qualified accountant ICAS/ACCA/CIMA
Management accounting exp
Sound technical skills, specifically with IFRS and tax (UK)
Exp of supervision/coaching others (formal line management experience a plus)
Good understanding of ERP and reporting systems
Good understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition under IFRS 15
Able to quickly understand existing business processes
Able to take ownership of and deliver tasks to completion with minimum supervision
Track record of process improvement
Excellent communication skills that can be tailored across all levels in a businessJob Offer
