Analytical genre prose writer

London
Armenian Artificial Intelligence Company
Will writer
£24,000 - £40,000 a year
Posted: 1 October
Offer description

We are the Armenian Artificial Intelligence Company (
AAIC
): a team of scientists, engineers, designers, and writers. We work globally, creating singular software for diverse clients—from devices that assist professional chefs to city simulations and narrative games.

As we launch new narrative projects, we're expanding our
writers' room
and seeking genre prose writers skilled in analytical trope-driven writing and complex plot arc composition.

We craft stories across multiple genres—comedy, true crime, cozy mystery, fantasy romance, science fiction, xianxia—adapting plots to fit both the constraints and possibilities of narrative games powered by generative AI.

What we'll be looking at:

* Experience in writing in multiple genres:
you've written in at least two different genres mentioned above. These can be novels or short stories, published or unpublished, including ghost-written work.
* Experience in writing comedy:
comedy is one of your favourite genres. At least one of your works should be in the comedy genre (though it doesn't necessarily need to be funny).
* Analytical approach to writing:
you understand genre tropes and implement them effectively in your writing.
* Experience with LLM applied to the writing domain:
you leverage large language models such as ChatGPT or DeepSeek to enhance your writing.
* You are fluent in English and have excellent written communication skills.

This position is fully remote and part-time with an expected workload of 15–20 hours per week at a rate of $10–15 per hour.

What we will NOT be looking at:

* Years of experience.
* Big names in your CV.
* We'll read your CV if you send it, but it's not a major factor in our decision.

To apply, email Niko at with the following:

* Two pieces of your writing in different fiction genres. One must be comedy. They can be in any language.
* A piece of your analytical non-fiction writing on a literary topic. This could be a book review or a critical essay—anything that demonstrates how you approach texts analytically.
* An LLM prompt you created that you either used in your workflow or integrated into a project.
* A description of the most interesting text you've worked on.

All applications via EasyApply will be ignored.
As an AI company, we're very good at spotting LLM writing. A human will read your application and always respond personally, so please extend the same courtesy.

What's next?

1. A call where someone will introduce our company and you'll have an opportunity to ask questions.
2. A rather unusual test problem where we'll present you with a small but real challenge, have you ask questions, and ideate a solution.

Because of payment issues, we can't work with people physically located in China, Russia, Belarus, Iran, and other sanctioned countries.

* If you feel the need to anonymize your application, feel free to do so.
