Hours of work: 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Role Purpose
The Business Support Manager will provide comprehensive administrative support to Wrenbury Nursing Home, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, effective staff file management, compliance monitoring, and adherence to company policies and legal frameworks. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for visitors, supporting the Home Manager, and maintaining strict confidentiality while promoting the growth and efficiency of the business.
Key Responsibilities: Administrative Duties
· Act as the first point of contact, providing a professional meet and greet service to visitors, staff, and external stakeholders.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff records, including personnel files, training records, and compliance documentation.
· Regularly conduct compliance checks on staff files to ensure regulatory and company standards are met.
· Support the Home Manager in day-to-day administrative tasks and deputise in their absence where required.
· Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation as requested by the Home Manager or senior management.
· Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action points.
Compliance & Data Management
· Ensure all administrative practices comply with GDPR regulations, Caldicott principles, and the company's confidentiality standards.
· Safeguard sensitive information and ensure data is handled, stored, and disposed of securely.
· Monitor and update policies, procedures, and training records to ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Organisational & Business Support
· Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
· Support the growth of the business by maintaining professional standards, efficiency, and accuracy in administrative processes.
· Ensure smooth functioning of the home by providing proactive support to management and care teams.
· Liaise with external agencies, contractors, and regulators in a professional manner when required.
· Assist in audits, inspections, and reporting to regulatory bodies.

· Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality in all matters relating to residents, staff, and the business.
· Build positive working relationships with colleagues, residents, families, and external professionals.

Person Specification:
Essential
· Strong administrative and organisational skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
· Knowledge of GDPR, Caldicott principles, and confidentiality requirements.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
Desirable
· Experience within a care home or healthcare setting.
· Knowledge of CQC standards and compliance processes.
· Previous experience deputising for a manager or providing senior-level
administrative support.
