Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Transportation Manager in Aylesbury to oversee a busy logistics and transport operation. This is a permanent, senior-level role focused on planning, directing, and coordinating all transportation activities while leading teams, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency.

Salary: Up to £40, per annum
Working Hours: From 6:30 am

1. Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
2. Manage daily transport operations, including route planning, scheduling, and capacity management
3. Lead, manage, and mentor drivers and logistics staff
4. Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and high performance
5. Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation and health & safety standards
6. Monitor KPIs and prepare reports for senior management
7. Manage transportation budgets and control departmental expenditure
8. Collaborate with other departments to align transport operations with business objectives
Essential Skills & Experience
9. Proven experience in transportation or logistics management
10. Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance
11. Excellent leadership and people management skills
12. Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
13. Confident communicator with a collaborative management style
