Job Overview
Protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's). Deliver results that meet or exceed KPIs / SLA for the customer while ensuring full responsibility and accountability, aiding in contract retention.
Main Duties
* Be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of Security. The role covers a 24‑hour period from 07:00 to 07:00m on a rota basis with an average of 42 hours a week.
* Act as the first point of contact for the Security team and deal with day‑to‑day matters such as standards of dress, discipline, and conduct.
* Assist in ongoing training to resident security teams and ensure all new security officers are fully trained and inducted to the site procedures and policies including CCTV, access control systems, deliveries and removals, fire alarms and intruder alarms.
* Develop teamwork within the workforce, ensuring high morale through effective motivational methods.
* Assist in the review of Security Officers’ performance and development.
* Assist in any security or equipment investigations, such as thefts, missing items and complaints.
* Provide customer and client liaison as required.
* Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times by security and shipping personnel.
* Ensure that important messages are conveyed in the Security Handover and that all personnel read and acknowledge them.
* Maintain accurate security records and logs.
* Ensure the security team complies with all relevant legislation on data protection.
Qualifications
* Previous security experience.
* Essential: SIA Door Supervisor License. Desired: CCTV license (not essential).
* Desirable: SC clearance.
* Good literacy and communication skills; excellent verbal and written English.
* Computer and software literacy.
* Reliability, self‑motivation and the ability to work independently.
* Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and prioritisation skills.
* Ability to transfer self‑motivation to staff.
* Tact and diplomacy when dealing with people at all levels.
* Self‑confidence and an interest in self‑development.
* Commitment to continuous improvement of the company’s performance.
* Excellent record of attendance and time‑keeping, as the role requires consistent reliability.
