We’re currently looking for new colleagues to join our #TeamNLCS in the Motherwell and Wishaw area.
The Role
You will play a significant role in supporting young people and adults with disabilities and additional support needs within the Motherwell and Wishaw communities. The majority of your time will be spent in the community, assisting people with their hobbies and activities such as swimming, going to the gym, bowling, cinema, pub outings, and college study appointments. Some individuals also receive support with daily living tasks, including appointments, shopping, meal planning, cooking, housework, finances, medication, and personal care.

Additional requirements:
* Full UK manual driving licence (essential for mobile support)
* Confidence around water, due to frequent swimming activities
We provide training and will cover costs for your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees. We also fund your SSSC registration within 3 months of starting.
Applicants will also be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and pursue an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration, completing the registration within three months of starting employment.
Shift Patterns
Our team delivers support from 08:30 to 21:00, seven days a week, including sleepovers. Weekends and public holidays are on a rotational basis; we aim to have you working every second weekend. Shift lengths range from 4 to 8 hours, depending on what suits your schedule and the person you support.
