Sales Order Processor
Salary: Up to £28,500 per annumHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pmLocation: Hull (office-based)
The Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Sales Order Processor to join a busy internal sales team within a well-established manufacturing business. This is a fast-paced and varied position, ideal for someone who enjoys working under pressure and providing excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be motivated, organised, and keen to learn, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing customer orders and sales quotations accurately and efficiently
* Serving customers at the trade counter and advising on products
* Handling incoming calls and responding to customer enquiries in a timely manner
* Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with customers
* Liaising with colleagues to support team productivity and meet deadlines
* Maintaining and updating internal systems and records to support sales activity
* Assisting with stock control and stock taking
* Developing a strong understanding of the company’s product range
* Supporting warehouse operations during busy periods, including loading/unloading vehicles (forklift licence desirable)
About You
* Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word, alongside internal systems
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* A self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A professional approach with a commitment to delivering high standards of customer service
* Previous experience within a similar role or a basic understanding of construction (desirable)
