Job Description
The Legal Counsel will play a key supporting role within the Group Legal function, providing timely, practical, and commercially focused legal advice to the General Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel and the wider group of logistics and transport businesses operating across the UK.
This is a broad, hands‑on role ideal for a lawyer building in‑house experience. The Legal Counsel will assist with contract drafting and negotiation, compliance matters, operational legal queries, dispute support, and day‑to‑day legal risk management across a dynamic logistics environment. The role requires strong technical grounding, good commercial instincts and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple business units.
Qualifications
* Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent. 1–4 years PQE (law firm or prior in‑house experience advantageous)
* Solid grounding in commercial law and contract drafting.
* Awareness (and willingness to develop) understanding of key areas relevant to logistics:
o commercial contracts
o transport/operations regulation
o GDPR/data protection
o health & safety
o dispute management fundamentals
