We are recruiting for a Clinical Support Worker - Critical Care who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients
We have 20 critical care beds and can offer you broad experience in caring for critically ill adults in an innovative, challenging and aspirational workplace. Main duties of the job
Examples of some of the responsibilities within the role of Clinical Support Worker:
* Washing / dressing patients
* Taking patients physiological observations i.e. temperature, pulse, respiration rate, blood pressure, weight, blood sugar levels.
* Making beds and cleaning bed spaces
* Serving meals and assisting feeding patients
* Talking / listening to patients and their relatives.
The post incorporates undertaking a Apprenticeship if you are eligible. To achieve this you will attend apprenticeship workshops on site, consisting of assignments, group work and functional skills exams in Maths and English and observations in the clinical setting.
As a Clinical Support Worker you will be based on the Critical Care Unit and you will provide our patients with the highest standards of care during their stay at the Trust and become a valued member of our team.
You will be required to work: Days, Nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays. If successfully shortlisted you will have to do a role based assessment.

Essential criteria
* Care Certificate
Desirable criteria
* Committed to undertake the Care Certificate course within the first 12 weeks of commencing
* GCSEs (or equivalent qualification or standard) in English and Math
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting or caring environment

* Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings with patients, relatives, carers and other members of staff of varying levels of understanding
